Gold Award winners 2021!

Winchester Caravans and Motorhomes have been awarded the Gold Award as a Supplying Dealer of New Caravans at the 2021 Owner Satisfaction Awards. The results of the awards were announced at the annual Camping and Caravanning Club industry dinner on Thursday (11 November).

This is an extremely prestigious award and is testament to the exceptional levels of customer service that Winchester Caravans and Motorhomes provide their customers with. They primarily deal with the sale of new Swift and Bailey caravans, new Bailey motorhomes as well as a range of other pre-owned caravan brands, motorhomes and VW campervans in addition to accessories and awnings.

This is the third year running that Winchester Caravans and Motorhomes have achieved Gold Award status, this time with an impressive score of 87.2%. Across all categories, Gold and Silver Awards are awarded to high achieving companies that show quality and consistency. Gold is gained by getting an average score of 80% or over. Silver requires a score between 70% and 80%.

The event, which was held at the Coventry Building Society Arena, marked the sixth annual Owner Satisfaction Awards and the fifth set of awards the Club has run in partnership with Practical Motorhome and Practical Caravan magazines. The awards were given out by actor and entertainer Shaun Williamson, (best known as Barry from Eastenders) who presented certificates and  trophies to the winners. 

The results are based completely on customer experience, coming from thousands of Club members and readers of Practical Motorhome and Practical Caravan magazines who completed the 2021 Owner Satisfaction Survey. The survey initially ran from April to October 2020, but when the awards were postponed due to the pandemic, the survey was extended and reopened from January - August 2021. The survey gives customers the opportunity to have their say on their leisure vehicles, related products and buying/after sales experience.

Winchester Caravans and Motorhomes won Best Supplying Dealer of New Caravans in 2020, and in 2018 they were awarded Best Supplying Dealer of Pre-owned Caravans with a whopping score of 99.4%, an almost perfect score.

The event was attended by Winchester Caravans and Motorhomes Managing Director James Southwood, Sales Manager James Mainwaring, Aftersales Manager Trevor Egerton and Workshop Manager Tom Adams.

It’s been a tough 20 months for everyone and although we’ve been busier than ever, that has brought its own challenges with production and supply issues due to the pandemic and Brexit. But we’ve pulled together as a team to continue to serve our customers, ensuring they receive the first-class service they deserve and are happy with their purchases.”
