Best Supplying Dealer of New Caravans 2020

Winchester Caravans and Motorhomes have been crowned the Best Supplying Dealer of New Caravans in the 2020 Owner Satisfaction Awards, which were announced at the annual Camping and Caravanning Club industry dinner on Thursday.

This is one of the most coveted awards and is proof of the high levels of customer service that Winchester Caravans and Motorhomes are providing their customers with. They primarily deal with the sale of new Swift and Bailey caravans as well as a range of other pre-owned caravan brands, motorhomes and VW campervans in addition to accessories and awnings.

In addition to the award, Winchester Caravans and Motorhomes also achieved Gold Award status for the second year running with a show-stopping score of 91.4%. Across all categories, Gold and Silver Awards are also awarded to high achieving companies that show quality and consistency. Gold is gained by getting an average score of 80% or over. Silver requires a score between 70% and 80%.

The event, which was held at The Midland Hotel in Manchester, marked the fifth annual Owner Satisfaction Awards and the fourth set of awards the Club has run in partnership with Practical Motorhome and Practical Caravan magazines. In total, 22 awards were given out, with Club President Julia Bradbury presenting trophies to the winners.

The results are based completely on customer experience, coming from thousands of Club members and readers of Practical Motorhome and Practical Caravan magazines who completed the 2020 Owner Satisfaction Survey. The survey ran from April to October 2019 and gave customers the opportunity to have their say on their leisure vehicles, related products and buying/after sales experience.

This year’s survey was completed by more people than last year, with the number of responses increasing by 14.7% and 67.8% of respondents sharing feedback on new caravans.

2018 saw Winchester Caravans win Best Supplying Dealer of Pre-owned Caravans with a whopping score of 99.4%, an almost perfect score.

The event was attended by Winchester Caravans and Motorhomes Managing Director James Southwood, Sales Manager James Mainwaring, Aftersales Manager Trevor Egerton and Workshop Manager Matt Boast.

We’ve undergone a few changes in the last six months - becoming  a Swift dealer and adding motorhomes to our repertoire, but this goes to show that customer service is always our top priority.”
